What's in Store for Young Sheldon Week
Dates: 18 - 25 August 2024
Young Sheldon Week will be filled with science experiments, comic book fun, acting, and celebrating all things nerdy. It’s a week where being smart is cool and curiosity is encouraged! Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting activities planned for each day:
Monday - Science Day: Kickstart the week with volcano making, traveling rainbows experiments, and invisible ink fun. Cabins will decorate their own water rockets, and juniors will enjoy a slime evening while seniors dive into a mad scientist's laboratory.
Tuesday - Comic Day: Unleash creativity with comic font practice, character drawing, and creating comic strips that reflect each camper's personality. Juniors will engage in a Cowboys vs. Aliens capture-the-flag game, and seniors will design their superhero or supervillain personas.
Wednesday - Texas Day: Experience a game drive and a Texas fair with bull riding and carnival games. The evening will conclude with a cozy campfire.
Thursday - Drama Day: Participate in drama activities, acting classes, and improv sessions. Cabins will create skits based on their comic strips. Dinner will feature Sheldon’s favorite meal: spaghetti with hotdog sausages and vanilla ice cream. The night will end with a talent show and a hidden talent performance.
Friday - Casino Day: Enjoy poker, card games, and other casino-themed activities. Cabins will perfect their projects for the Saturday presentation. The day will end with a party night and fire show.
Saturday - All Camp Game: Present the cabin projects to the rest of the camp and enjoy a food fight with counselors dressed as Sheldon. The day will end with a pool party, final campfire, and farewell activities.
